In late June 2022 the club’s  43rd Changeover was celebrated. Total attendance was 54 which included special guest PDG. Andy Rajapakse, Rotary International Zone 8 Assistant Rotary Coordinator,  who introduced his guests Varuna &  Sumika Gunatillake.  Alan MacDonald introduced his family and friends from Brisbane. On arrival, the ladies each were presented with a red rose. A very special touch organised by Alan MacDonald. Thank you Alan!!
What a delight to meet John Campbell at our informal club lunch today. John went to Sweden for a year on a Rotary Youth Exchange program in 1992. He is still in touch with his host families and returns to Sweden to catch up as often as possible. When John returned home he joined Surfers Paradise West Rotary Club, then became involved in running the Youth Exchange Program for District 9640 and also RYPEN, RYTS and RYLA, other very worthwhile youth programs of Rotary. John is currently a very active member  of the Rotary Club of Burleigh Heads. His daughter was also a successful Rotary Youth Exchange applicant  and spent 2019 in Italy.
