The Rotary Club of Mermaid Beach will be holding a Sport and Rec Youth Expo at the Mermaid Beach Bowling Club on 4 May of this year. The idea is to showcase many of the activities that are available to our Youth in this wonderful city of ours. With the upcoming Olympics in 2032, we may uncover a future Olympic champion, or alternatively it may provide new options for bored teenagers, that may otherwise be enticed into crime.
The intent of the Youth Expo is to complement the great work that is being done by many local organisations for the youth in our community already. The expo is not about providing educational or career advice, it is about showcasing fun extra -curricular activities that we are lucky to have here on the Gold Coast.
